Anti-Discrimination
Respectful access to care
Renew Wellness & Regenerative Medicine supports respectful access to healthcare and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, or another characteristic protected by applicable law. Patients should be treated with dignity when asking about services, arranging appointments, receiving care, or raising a concern.
Individual needs and care decisions
Care recommendations should reflect each person’s clinical needs, safety, and the services appropriate to their situation. A website description does not determine whether a service is right for you. Ask your provider to explain a recommendation, any relevant limitations, and available alternatives. You may also ask for clarification if you believe a decision or interaction was influenced by unlawful discrimination.
Communication and assistance requests
If you need help communicating, information in an accessible format, language assistance, or a disability-related adjustment, contact the practice. Explain the communication need and what would help you participate in your visit or understand information about care. You can raise a need when arranging an appointment or during a visit. If a communication method is not effective for you, tell staff so the issue can be addressed.
Website access
If a website feature or document creates an access barrier, contact the practice and describe the page, task, and difficulty. Include your preferred way to be contacted, but avoid sending sensitive medical details through a general website inquiry. The Accessibility page provides additional information about website access.
Raise a concern with the practice
You may contact the practice if you believe you or someone else experienced discrimination. Helpful information includes what happened, when it happened, the service or interaction involved, and how to reach you. Ask to speak with the person responsible for handling the concern. You do not need to include your full medical history in an initial general email.
External civil-rights complaints
You may also review the HHS Office for Civil Rights complaint guidance or use the OCR complaint portal. OCR investigates discrimination complaints involving programs and organizations within its jurisdiction. Complaints generally must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination; OCR may extend the period for good cause. You can file for yourself or someone else. Contacting the practice is not a requirement for using the external complaint route.
